ONGC: Pankaj Kumar becomes the first-ever Director (Production)

4099New Delhi (21.02.2023): Following the merger of two Board-level posts, Director (Offshore) and Director (Onshore) in ONGC, the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Tuesday approved the continuance of Pankaj Kumar in the newly created post of Director (Production), ONGC w.e.f. 01.03.2023 till the date of his superannuation i.e. 30.06.2026. Pankaj Kumar has been working as Director (Offshore), ONGC since September 2021. It may be underlined that the post of Director (Production), ONGC came into existence after the merger of the posts of Director (Onshore) and Director (Offshore) that made Kumar its first-ever Director (Production), ONGC. It may be underlined that the Government of India had in December 2022 announced the restructuring of the ONGC Board. As part of the restructuring two new posts were created namely; Director (Production) and Director (Strategy & Corporate Affairs). The new post of Director (Production) was the outcome of the merger of the posts of Director (Offshore) and Director (Onshore).
