Bhubaneswar (19.05.2023): The Odisha government effected a major reshuffle of IPS officers with immediate effect. These officers are:

• AM Prasad (IPS: 1989: OD) has been appointed as the Special DGP of Human Rights Protection Cell (HRPC).
• Sudhansu Sarangi (IPS: 1990: OD) has been transferred as DG of Fire Services (FS) and CG, Home Guard (HG) & Director Civil Defence (CD).
• RK Sharma (IPS: 1995: OD) has been transferred as Additional DGP Headquarters.
• Sanjay Kumar (IPS: 1997: OD) has been appointed Additional DGP Operations.
• Amitabh Thakur (IPS: 1998: OD) has been made Transport Commissioner.
• Suresh Dev Datta Singh (IPS: 1998: OD) has been appointed as ADGP Operations.
• Dayal Gangwar (IPS: 1998: OD) has been appointed as ADGP Railways and Coastal Security.
• Rajesh Kumar (IPS: 1998: OD) has been made ADGP Modernisation.
• Narasingha Bhola (IPS: 2002: OD) has been appointed as Excise Commissioner.
• Ashish Singh (IPS: 2004: OD) will take charge of IGP, CR, Cuttack, and IGP SFSL.
• Rajesh Pandit (IPS: 2007: OD) has been transferred as DIGP, Fire services (FS) & Home Guard (HG).
• Akhileswar Singh (IPS: 2007: OD) has been named DIGP, SIW.
• CS Meena (IPS: 2007: OD) has been transferred as DIGP, SWR, Koraput.
• Mitrabhanu Mahapatra (IPS: 2010: OD) has been made Rourkela SP.
• B Gangadhar (IPS: 2011: OD) has been transferred to Mayurbhanj.
• Mukesh Kumar Bhamoo (IPS: 2013: OD) will be the new Sambalpur SP.
• Kusalkar Nitin Dagdu (IPS: 2015: OD) has been transferred to Keonjhar.
• Rishikesh Khilari (IPS: 2015: OD) has been named as SP Mayurbhanj.
