Following the resignation of Parameswaran Iyer three Secretary level posts have fallen vacant in Govt of India which include Information and Broadcasting, Ministry of Mines and Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DWS). It is believed that I&B post may not be filled very soon and the additional charge may continue to remain with Amit Khare (IAS:1985:JH) whereas Mines and DWS would require officers with specific professional attributes. For the next DWS Secretary, it would be a challenging task to fit into the shoes of Iyer and an uphill task to live up to the expectation of the NaMo Government for which drinking water, sanitation and ‘Swachch Bharat Mission’ is of utmost priority.
