As many as nine Union secretaries may assemble in the office of Union Coal Secretary at Shastri Bhawan to work out a comprehensive plan to extract the maximum benefits out of the ambitious project of Modi Govt. The nine secretaries concerned belong to the ministries of power, Steel, Petroleum, Chairman Railway Board, Road Transport & Highways, Shipping, Food & Public Distribution, and Fertilizer. The meeting will study and explore the possibility of synergy between the respective departments to get the maximum benefits of the potential of Sagarmala, an ambitious project of the NDA Govt. Ensuring the coordination and the synergy between the departments to reap the benefits of Coastal movements of cargo carrying critical inputs for industries and trade like cement, coal, petroleum products, fertilizers etc are no easy matter and hence the meeting.
