• New Delhi (06.05.2024): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has promoted five 2005 batch IPS officers of  DIG rank in the CBI to Joint Director rank. The name of these officers are as follows: 
    • S Veeresh Prabhu (IPS: 2005: MH), presently working as DIG, CBI, was appointed as Joint Director, CBI for a tenure of five years i.e. up to 13.10.2027.
    • Rajiv Ranjan (IPS: 2005: SK), presently working as DIG, CBI, was appointed as Joint Director, CBI, for a tenure of five years i.e. up to. 30.05.2026.
    • Sumedha Dwivedi (IPS: 2005: HP), presently working as DIG, CBI, was appointed as Joint Director, CBI, for a tenure of five years i.e. up to 07.02.2029.
    • Vijayendra Bidari (IPS: 2005: TN), presently working as DIG, CBI, was appointed as Joint Director, CBI, for a tenure of seven years i.e. up to 18.07.2024.
    • Sharada Raut (IPS: 2005: MH), presently working as DIG, CBI, was as Joint Director, CBI, for an overall tenure of seven years i.e. up to 25.07.2024.

  • New Delhi (04.05.2024): Based on the recommendation of Search-cum-Selection-Committee (SCSC) the NaMo administration appointed Justice (Retd) Sanjaya Kumar Mishra to the post of President, Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT). Justice Mishra is the former Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court.
    He will head the Tribunal for a period of four years or till the age of 70 years whichever earlier. 
    The Centre had invited applications for 63 posts of Judicial Member and 32 posts of Technical Member.
    Reportedly, GSTAT functional from 01.07.2024 with one Principal Bench located in Delhi in addition to 31 State benches located at various locations across States.

  • New Delhi (03.05.2024): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Friday are as follows:-

    • Lalithambigai K (IAS: 2015: MN) was appointed to the post of Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Delhi for a period of four years.  
    • Subodh Kumar (IAS: 2010: TN) was appointed as Director in the Ministry of Ayush for a period up to 08.10.2024. He counts his central deputation tenure w.e.f 09.10.2019.

  • New Delhi (02.05.2024): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Thursday are as follows:-
    • Shashi Bhushan Singh (IRTS: 2010) was appointed as Secretary at Director level, National Jute Board, Kolkata under the Ministry of Textiles for a period of 5 years.
    • R V Ramya Bharati (IPS: 2008: TN) was appointed as Deputy Director General (DDG) in Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) for maximum of 5 years.


  • New Delhi (01.05.2024): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Wednesday are as follows:-

    • Geetika Sharma (IAS: 2012: AGMUT) was appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Mines, Delhi for a period of four years.
    • Pratima Singh (IRS C&CE:2009) was appointed as Director in the office of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Delhi for a period of five years.
    • Rajan Sharma (ISupplyS: 2014) was appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Central Information Commission, Delhi for a period of four years.

  • New Delhi (30.04.2024): Following the retirement of S K G Rahate (IAS: 1990: JH) the New Delhi establishment on Tuesday late evening assigned the additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of Justice (M/o Law & Justice) to Raj Kumar Goyal (IAS: 1990: AGMUT). Currently, Goyal is Secretary, Department of Border Management under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Goyal will hold the charge till the appointment of a regular incumbent. 

  • New Delhi (29.04.2024): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Monday are as follows:-
    • Praveen Ranjan (IDAS: 2010) was appointed as Director in the Department of Expenditure, Delhi for a period of five years. 
    • Aarti Singh Parihar (IRTS: 2006), Director, Department of Atomic Energy, was prematurely repatriated to her parent cadre to avail the benefit of promotion. 

  • New Delhi (27.04.2024): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Saturday are as follows:-
    • Deputation tenure of Kunal Kumar (IAS: 1999: MH), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, was extended for a period w.e.f. 09.04.2024 to 30.06.2024 by temporarily upgrading one post of Director to the level of Joint Secretary.
    • Tenure of Rahul Rastogi (ITS: 1998), Joint Secretary (Director Level) in the Central Information Commission for a period up to 29.08.2025. Rastogi counts his deputation tenure w .e.f. 30.08 .2019.
    • Tenure of Rahul Kumar Sachan (ITS: 1997), Regional Director, Staff Selection Commission (Central Region) Prayagraj, was extended for a period of three months up to 02.07.2024. Sachan counts his deputation tenure w.e.f. 03 .10 1 16.
