New Delhi (05.07.2021): The Chairman post in NHAI falls vacant with the repatriation of the incumbent Chairman Sukhbir Singh Sandhu (lAS:1988:UD) to his parent cadre on the request of the State Government of Uttarakhand. The NaMo administration on Monday approved the same. It may be underlined that Sandhu’s tenure under Central Deputation was supposed to end on 21.01.2021 whereas the Centre had on 17.12.2020 extended his term for a six-month period ending 21.07.2021.
