Mumbai (12.01.2022): The recent decision of appointing Deven Bharti, an officer close to Dy CM Devendra Fadnavis, by the Maharashtra government as the first ever special commissioner of Mumbai police while Vivek Phansalkar, the present commissioner of police and close aide of Shinde, still in the office explains the story and the chasm between the top two leaders of the ruling dispensation in the state. Many more such examples could be given where despite Eknath Sinde being the CM of Maharashtra his well-versed deputy in administration Fadnavis called the shots. This is what analysts feel is abnormal about the state and discontentment is brewing. So it appears to be true what analysts say that there are two power Centres in the state.
