The MP IAS Officers’
Association on Saturday launched a book titled “The Steel
Frame: A history of the IAS†written by former UPSC Chairman Dr.
Deepak Gupta (Retd IAS:1974: MP). The book, in separate chapters, underlines
the changes made during the British era and post 1947. During the book launch, Dr. Gupta
said that civil servants should implement the plans, policies, and programs
effectively in accordance with the laws of the land. The event was organized at RCVP
Noronha Academy of Administration and Management (Bhopal) under the ‘Meet the
Author series in collaboration with ‘Club literati’ and ‘The Saturday Club’. Ms. Anita Das, President of The
Saturday Club, welcomed the audience and guests. Addressing the gathering,
Dr. Seema Riazada, President of Club Literature, former IAS Atul Sinha, G V
Rashmi, and Tejasavi Ravi Nayak highlighted the various facets of the book. The book launch also saw the
presence of PS to CM Ashok Varnawal and RERA President Anthony D’Sa. Dr Sanjay
Goyal, Secretary, MP IAS Officers Association, Bhopal, expressed gratitude to
the guests and presented a souvenir to Dr. Deepak Gupta on behalf of the state
IAS Association.
