MHA: Five IPS officers appointed as DIG in various CPOs

New Delhi (10.01.2024): Five IPS officers were on promotion appointed to the rank of DIG in NHRC, BPR&D, SVPNPA & NCRB. The list of officers and respective originations goes as follows: 
National Police Academy (SVPNPA):
  • Hari Prasath S (IPS: 2010: BH) was appointed to the post of Deputy Director, SVPNPA by temporarily upgrading the post of Additional Director, SVPNPA up to 16.01.2027. 
National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB):
  • Satendra Kumar (IPS: 2010: UP) was appointed as DIG in NCRB for a tenure of five years. Currently, he is SP, BPR&D and counts his deputation tenure w.e.f. 20.07.2023. 
National Human Rights Commission (NHRC):
  • Sunil Kumar Meena (IPS: 2007: UK) was appointed as DIG, ITBP for a combined tenure of five years. Currently, he is DIG, NHRC and counts his Central deputation tenure w.e.f. 31.01.2022. 
  • Patil Ketan Baliram (IPS: 2010: PB) was appointed on promotion to the post of DIG, NHRC for a combined tenure of 5 years. Currently, he is working as SP, NHRC.
Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D):
  • Sulochana Gajraj (IPS: 2010: HY) was appointed as DIG, BPR&D for a tenure of five years. Currently, she is SP, BPR&D.
