New Delhi (26.01.2022): Congress leadership is facing the agony of a series of exodus of young and bright leaders, as RPN Singh joined the BJP on Tuesday. At the joining ceremony, RPN and Jyotiraditya shared the dias together as BJP leaders.

There is a long list of very bright faces who were considered close to Rahul Gandhi but chose to tread a different path. This list includes Jyotiraditya Scindia, who quit the Congress to become a union minister in the NDA govt. Haryana state president Ashok Tanwar quit the party. Chief of All India Women’s Congress Sushmita Dev joined Trinamool Congress where she is in charge of Tripura assembly elections. Prominent UP leader Jitin Prasada has already landed in the BJP. Congress stalwart Hemant Biswa Sarma is now BJP CM of Assam. Former President Pranab Mukherjee’s son Abhijit Mukherjee also quit the party to become Trinamool Congress leader, he is an active TMC leader in Goa assembly polls. Now the Congress leadership needs introspection on how to retain its pool of talent to make a pan India base and revive the party.
