Hyderabad (12.06.2024): The Telangana government is likely to undertake a major reshuffle of IAS officers this week right from district collectors to special chief secretaries to a new Chief Secretary. Speculations is rife on appointing a new CS in place of A Santhi Kumari (IAS: 1989: TG). 

This is going to be a major shuffle of IAS officers after the Congress came into power in December 2023, chief minister A Revanth Reddy is expected to take the final call in a day or two. Some proposals have already been readied by CMO. After Revanth took over as CM six months ago, some IAS officers were shifted, but it was a minor reshuffle of around a dozen officers. A complete reshuffle could not have been taken up due to the model code of conduct which was in place for Lok Sabha polls, MLC polls, etc. Since the model code of conduct ended now, focus is back on IAS reshuffle.
