Major reshuffle of IAS in Maharashtra; Sujata Saunik ACC Home

Mumbai (03.06.2023): The Maharashtra government enacted a major reshuffle of IAS officers but the most interesting inclusion in the list is Sujata Saunik being appointed ACS (Home). Saunik is expected to succeed her husband as Chief Secretary of the state. The new assignments are as follows:
  1. Sujata Saunik (IAS: 1987: MH) has been appointed as Additional Chief Secretary (Home).
  2. SVR Srinivas (IAS: 1991: MH) has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Dharavi Redevelopment Project.
  3. Lokesh Chandra (IAS: 1993: MH) has been appointed as Chairman/ Managing Director of MAHADISCOM.
  4. Vijay Singhal (IAS: 1997: MH) has been appointed as the general manager of the BEST Undertaking.
  5. Radhika Rastogi (IAS: 1995: MH) will be the principal secretary and development commissioner in the planning department.
  6. I A Kundan (IAS: 1996: MH) has been posted as Principal Secretary in the Minority Development Department. 
  7. Sanjeev Jaiswal (IAS: 1996: MH) will now be vice-president and CEO of MHADA.
  8. Asheesh Sharma (IAS: 1997: MH) will be principal secretary (II) in the Urban Development Department.
  9. Anshu Sinha (IAS: 1999: MH) will be Secretary in the OBC Bahujan Welfare Department. 
  10. Anup Kumar Yadav (IAS: 2002: MH) has been appointed as Secretary, Women and Child Welfare Department.
  11. Tukaram Mundhe (IAS: 2005: MH) has been given a side posting as Secretary, Marathi Bhasha Department. 
  12. Dr Amit Saini (IAS: 2007: MH) has been appointed as Mission Director for Jal Jeevan Mission.
  13. Chandrakant Pulkundwar (IAS: 2008: MH) has been appointed as Commissioner (Sugar), Pune. 
  14. Dr Manik Gursal (IAS: 2009: MH) will now be the CEO of Maharashtra Maritime Board.
  15. Kadambari Balkawade (IAS: 2010: MH) has been posted as DG, MEDA, Pune. 
  16. Pradipkumar Dange (IAS: 2011: MH) has been appointed as the Director of sericulture in Nagpur.
  17. Shantanu Goel (IAS: 2012: MH) has been posted as Joint Managing Director of CIDCO. 
  18. Prithviraj BP will take charge as Director of Information Technology 
  19. Dr Hemant Vasekar (IAS: 2015: MH) has been posted as Commissioner of Animal Husbandry in Pune. 
  20. Dr Sudhakar Shinde (IAS: 1997: MH) has been posted as Assistant Municipal Commissioner of BMC in Mumbai.
