New Delhi (20.06.2023): The New Delhi establishment effected a major reshuffle of senior IPS officers currently serving at Additional DG rank in Intelligence Bureau, BSF, CRPF, CISF and NIA. Most of these officers’ appointments were cleared on in-situ basis whereas some of them got fresh berth against existing vacancy in the same organization. The list is as follows:
Intelligence Bureau (IB):
Six hard-core IB officers currently serving as Additional Director were appointed as Special Director (Special DG rank i.e. Level-16 in the pay matrix).
Ahsan Rizvi (IPS: 1989: UD) was appointed as Special Director against the existing vacancy whereas five were appointed (in-situ) as Special Director namely; Rahul Rashgotra (IPS: 1989: AM), Vivek Srivastava (IPS: 1989: GJ), T V Ravichandran (IPS: 1990: TN), Rajiv Ranjan Verma (IPS: 1990: UP) and Harinath Mishra (IPS: 1990: KL).
Border Security Force (BSF):
Two Additional DG rank IPS officers currently working in BSF were appointed as Special Director General against existing vacancies namely; P V Ramasashtry (IPS: 1989: UP) and Y B Khurania (IPS: 1990: OR).
Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF):
Two Additional DG rank officers in CRPF were appointed as Special Director General namely; Daljit Singh Chaudhary (IPS: 1990: UP) and S S Chaturvedi (IPS: 1990: TR) against the available vacancy in CRPF.
Central Industrial Security Force (CISF):
Nina Singh (IPS: 1989: RJ) currently Additional DG, CISF was promoted (in-situ) as Special Director General by temporarily upgrading the post for a tenure of two years.
National Investigating Agency (NIA):
A M Kulkarni (IPS: 1990: MH) currently Additional DG in NIA was appointed (in-situ) as Special Director General by temporarily upgrading the post for a period up to 31 .01 .2024 i.e. date of his superannuation.
