1997 batch Tamil Nadu cadre IPS officer Maheshwar Dayal took charge as DIG (Operations) CISF. Prior to this he was in Haryana on inter-cadre deputation. To facilitate his appointment the Govt of India had to waive off his cooling period. Secondly; to place him at FHQ the incumbent DIG (Ops) Atul Katiyar (IPS:1997:UT) was moved to its Saket based establishment as DIG, North Zone-I vice Jai Deep Prasad (IPS:1995:MP).
