Jaiswal tops the list of Maharashtra cadre IPS which is to be considered for
the selection of a new state DGP as the extended term of Datta Padsalgikar
ended on February 28. The state government has already submitted
the list of six senior most IPS officers to the Union Public Service Commission
for shortlisting. The list includes the names of Subodh Kumar
Jaiswal, Sanjay Pande, Sanjay Barve, Bipin Bihari, SN Pandey, and D
Kanakratnam. Jaiswal is from the 1985 batch and Sanjay Pande from the 1986
batch, and the others from the 1987 batch.
