New Delhi (28.11.2022): Former UP CM Mayawati who had to work to take her vote percentage beyond 22 to come to power with various social engineering, has come to basics of the politics when she started working the way she used to with her mentor Kanshi Ram as BSP’s vote bank has come down to lowest ever to 12 percent. Mayawati is likely to face challenges from the BJP, Mallikarjuna Kharge of the Congress as a Dalit leader, and Chandrashekhar Azad ‘Rawan’ who is popular among Dalit youths in UP. Besides Dalit, Mayawati is also focusing on Muslims with Imran Masood jumping the fence of the SP to join the BSP just nine months after he quit the Congress for SP. Dalit-Muslim politics in Uttar Pradesh is a new thing for otherwise a late starter Mayawati.
