Gandhinagar (29.06.2024): On completion of 11th extension (w.e.f. 31.12.2023) in a row in the Chief Minister's Office (Gujarat), Kuniyil Kailashnathan (Retd IAS: 1979: GJ), will finally leave the CMO. He has been serving in various posts within this office since 2009.
His extended tenure in the crucial role in CMO comes to an end on June 30, 2024. He is known for showcasing enduring influence and key contributions to the administrative landscape in Gujarat.
He retired from the post of Additional Chief Secretary in Gujarat in 2013 after an impressive 33-year tenure, KK was subsequently appointed as the Chief Principal Secretary, a position specially created for him.
Even though he served under four CMs; Narendra Modi, Anandiben Patel, Vijay Rupani and Bhupendra Patel, he was considered trusted official to one and only one i.e. Prime Minister Modi while acting as a bridge between Ahmedabad and New Delhi ever since Modi moved to New Delhi in 2014 as Prime Minister.
