Indianmandarins has learnt that P K Srivastava, an IRSEE (Signal & Telecom) officer of 1977 batch and A K Kapoor (IRSEE:1978) have emerged as front-runners for the covetd post of Member (Electrical) of the Railway Board. While Srivastava is currently serving as DG, RDSO, Kapoor is GM, Kolkata Metro. The post of Member (Electrical) has been lying vacant following the retirement of Naveen Tandon (IRSEE) on December 31, 2015. Initially the post was kept vacant as the railway Minister had proposed to scrap the post in January first week. But this was turned down by the PMO.
