Justice S K Kaul to be elevated as Supreme Court Judge?

It is learnt that Chief Justice of Madras High Court, Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul is in contention for elevation as Supreme Court Judge. Currently three posts of judges have been lying vacant with Supreme Court. Out of 31 judges, total strength of Supreme Court of India including the Chief Justice of India, three posts are lying vacant at present. Another vacancy will be created on 14 March 2015 when Justice Sudhansu Jyoti Mukhopadhaya retires.
