In the first week of January 2015 Justice Ashutosh Kumar (Additional Judge, Patna HC) is expected to be administered oath as Delhi High Court Justice. In the month of May this year he was appointed as Additional Judge, Patna HC.
As per norms and conventions he would have moved from Patna HC after May 2015, at the completion of one year of his appointment as Additional Judge. But, reportedly, he himself had sought transfer with an objective to match up to the standard practices by keeping away from Patna High Court as his father is a leading legal professional with Patna High Court.
