The NaMo Administration on Thursday effected a mid-sized reshuffle of Joint Secretary with four appointments on lateral shift basis. Accordingly;
Govind Mohan (lAS:1989:SK) appointed Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs for a period ending 09 August 2022 on lateral shif basis. Currently he serves as Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs. In his new stint with MHA he replaces T.V.S.N. Prasad (lAS:1988:HY).
Sunil Bharthwal (lAS:1989:BH) replaces Govind Mohan as Joint Secretary, Deapartment of Ecnomic Affairs on lateral shift basis for an overall tenure of five years completing on15 December 2019. Currently Barthwal serves as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Steel.
Lok Ranjan (IAS:1989:TR) appointed Joint Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training, on lateral shift basis for a period ending 17 August 2022. Currently he serves Joint Secretary, Department of Financial Services. In DOPT Ranjan replaces Devesh Chaturvedi (lAS:1989:UP).
S. C. Barmma (IPoS:1987) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Culture on lateral shift basis for an overall tenure upto his superannuation on 31 May 2020. He replaces Ms Shefali Shah (IRS IT:1985). Currently Baramma serves as Joint Secretary, Department of Justice.
Vikram Sahay (IRS IT:1992) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for a tenure of five years vice K. Sanjay Murthy (lAS:1989:HP).
Punya Salila Srivastava (lAS:1993:UT) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs for a tenure of five years vice Kumar Alok (IAS:1994:TR).
Ms. Bhawna Garg (lAS:1999:PB) appointed Deputy Director General (JS level) UIDAI (Chandigarh) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology vice Shri Ram Subhag Singh (lAS:1997:HP).
