New Delhi (20.11.2024): The Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) announced the constitution of the Joint Cadre Authority (JCA) for Joint Cadres of All India Service (IAS, IPS & IFoS) officers belonging to UT Cadres including Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram-J&K and others.
The Central Government, in consultation with the government of states concerned, constitutes the JCA under the provisions of All Indian Services (Joint Cadre) Rules, 1972.
The current, JCA includes three members, three special invitees and two convenors which are as follows:
Member:-
  • Union Home Secretary representing all UTs in respect of IAS/IPS 
  • DG of Forest and Special Secretary representing all UTs in respect of IFoS
  • Chief Secretary, Arunachal Pradesh
  • Chief Secretary, Goa 
  • Chief Secretary, Mizoram
Special Invitee:-
  • Chief Secretary, NCT of Delhi
  • Chief Secretary, Jammu & Kashmir
  • Chief Secretary, Puducherry
  • Convener:-
  • Joint Secretary (UT)/Additional Secretary (UT), MHA - Convener in respect of IAS/IPS
  • Joint Secretary (IFS Division)/ IG of Forest (IFS Division), MoEF&CC- Convener in respect of IFS.
