A single-judge bench of Rajasthan HC has directed the government to nominate one senior IAS officer, not below the rank of additional chief secretary, as nodal officer to ensure the implementation of its previous orders relating to haphazard colonization, encroachments, and frauds by cooperative society in issuing more than one lease deed.

The officer appointed would be responsible for maintaining coordination between Jaipur Development Authority (JDA), Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC), cooperative department, police commissionerate, and Jaipur Metro.

This followed representation from Amicus Curiae Anoop Dhand that there was a lack of coordination between the cooperative department, JDA, JMC, and police and suggested the need of appointment of nodal officer and a monitoring committee. Similar suggestions were made by Satendra Singh Raghav, the additional advocate general (AAG).
