New Delhi (10.03.2022): West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee decided to emerge as the national face of combined opposition parties as she chose to contest Goa assembly polls. She decided to expand her political base beyond West Bengal, but she got barely made a mark. The outcome disapproved her acceptance in Goa. On the other hand, AAP leader Arwind Kejriwal appears to have got a massive mandate in Punjab. Unlike his homeland (Delhi) he will be the boss of political executive in the state for the next five years. It is understood that he will put in all his efforts to contest the Gujarat assembly polls and subsequently may emerge as the face of the unified Opposition parties for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. This seems to be the obvious political contour of Arwind Kejriwal. Whether the Congress, NCP and Mamata Banerjee accord their stamp of approval to Kejriwal’s face will be a million-dollar question.
