Bhubaneswar (09.06.2025): Odisha vigilance arrested Dhiman
Chakma (IAS: 2021: OD) for allegedly receiving Rs 10 lakh bribe from a
businessman in Kalahandi District. Besides that vigilance officials recovered
Rs 47 lakh unaccounted cash during search operations at his official
residence. Director (vigilance) Yashwant Jethwa said: "The IAS
officer Dhiman Chakma is serving as sub-collector, Dharamgarh in Kalahandi. He
was caught red handed while demanding and accepting Rs ten lakh bribe in his
government quarter at Dharamgarh. After receiving complaint, we laid a trap and
arrested him. Further, Rs 47 lakh was recovered during search at his official
residence. The investigation is still in progress."
