New Delhi (21.08.2024): Former editor of India Today (Hindi) Dilip Mandal has been appointed as media Advisor in the Information and Broadcasting ministry. Mandal is a turncoat, who was once a bitter critique of the Hindutva politics, has now turned into Hindutva flagbearer sugar-quoted with SC& OBC politics. A new found Hindutva crusader has been obliged by the government a day before when a nationwide strike was planned by Confederation of Dalit and Adivasi Organisations demanding a central law to nullify a Supreme Court judgement allowing sub-classification of Scheduled Castes (SCs) in the quota system. It was Mandal who took up the matter in social media and even criticised the Chief Justice of India on the issue.
