Haryana cadre IAS officer resigns citing personal safety

856A 35-year-old Rani Nagar (IAS: 2014: Haryana), currently posted as Director, Archives Department, in Haryana government has resigned from the services. She has sent her resignation to state chief secretary, requesting him to forward it to the competent authority in the Union government. The Haryana cadre officer resigned citing ‘personal safety on government duty’ as the reason for it. Nagar said that she is also sending copies of the resignation letter to the president, prime minister, Haryana governor and the chief minister through e-mail. The reason for submitting this resignation is personal safety on government duty. “I do hereby most humbly submit to you my resignation from the post of Indian Administrative Service with immediate effect, that is effective from May 4, 2020, forenoon,” she writes.
