Kolkata (17.03.2026): After Chief Secretary, DGP, Additional Secretary (Home), Kolkata Police Commissioner and some other senior officers transferred in the West Bengal, the Election Commission of India has reshuffled more than one-and-half-a-dozen IPS officers for fair policing during the Assembly elections. The officers transferred out will not be posted in any election related posts till the completion of elections. The names and new assignment of these officers are as follows:
- Dr Rajesh Kumar Singh (IPS: 1997) has been posted as ADG & IGP, South Bengal Region.
- K Jayaraman (IPS: 1997) has been posted as ADG & GP, North Bengal Region.
- Dr Pranav Kumar, (IPS -2003) has been posted as Commissioner of Police, Asansol-Durgapur.
- Akhilesh Kumar Chaturvedi (IPS: 2005) has been posted as Commissioner of Police, Howrah.
- Amit Kumar Singh (IPS: 2009) has been posted as Commissioner of Police, Barrackpore.
- Sunil Kumar Yadav (IPS: 2009) has been posted as Commissioner of Police, Chandannagar.
- Pushpa (IPS: 2012) has been posted as SP, Barasat PD.
- Jaspreet Singh (IPS 2016) has been posted as SP, Coochbehar.
- Surya Pratap Yadav (IPS: 2011) has been posted as SP, Birbhum.
- Rakesh Singh (SPS: 2014) has been posted as SP, Islampur PD.
- Kumar Sunny Raj (IPS: 2017) has been posted as SP, Hooghly Rural.
- Ishani Paul (IPS: 2013) has been posted as SP, Diamond Harbour PD.
- Sachin (IPS: 2013) has been posted as SP, Murshidabad PD.
- Alaknanda Bhowal (IPS: 2017) has been posted as SP, Basirhat PD.
- Anupam Singh (IPS: 2015) has been posted as SP, Malda.
- Angshuman Saha (IPS: 2012) has been posted as SP, Purba Medinipur.
- Yeilwad Shrikant Jagannathrao (IPS 2015) has been posted as DC, Central Division, Kolkata.
- Surinder Singh (IPS 2016) has been posted as SP, Jangipur.
