NaMo administration cleared the appointment of Dr Prachi Mishra to the post of Economic Adviser in Fifteenth Finance Commission. Currently she serves with International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington DC. This will be her second stint with Govt of India.
It may be mentioned that Dr Prachi Mishra, one of the early senior level lateral recruits at the Reserve Bank of India, was hired as a specialist advisor in the crucial macro- economic research unit of RBI in late 2014 by the then RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan in June 2017 she had put in her papers.
