The increasing menace of deadly dengue is not sparing anyone in the national capital. While discussing the ever increasing figures of dengue victims a well-placed GoI officer informed 'Indianmandarins' that Director General of Employee's State Insurance Corporation (DG, ESIC), Deepak Kumar (IAS:1984:BH), himself was down with dengue-fever; an authority who handles the responsibility of health establishments and facilities across country meant for central government employees. Though he came out safe and assumed offices yesterday but it underlined the threat of dengue well that nobody would be safe till the preventive measures are undertaken on war-footage.
Not surprising that the alarming figures of dengue patients are giving sleepless nights to the Delhi CM and Union Health Minister. MLAs of Delhi Assembly have been asked to make surprise visits to hospitals in their respective constituencies twice a day.
