New Delhi (08.08.2024):Dhiraj Singh (IIS: 1995), ADG, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, has been appointed to the post of Director, Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune on a deputation basis for a period of five years. At present, Singh (Group Principal) is handling PMO, President Secretariate, Vice President Secretariate, Union Cabinet, NITI Aayog and overseeing the flagship magazine of the government published by the I&B ministry New India Samachar.
He had also worked in the team of Rajyawardhan Singh Rathore when he was Union Minister of state for Information and Broadcasting in NaMo 1.0. An alumnus of Allahabad University and Jawaharlal Nehru University, Singh is considered to be one of the brightest and go getter officers. This could be the reason that he has been entrusted with such a coveted position for the incumbent dispensation. He had a small stint at Publication Division of I&B ministry.
