Ghulam Nabi Azad has reached Lucknow to oversee Kapil Sibal's election while Sushil Kumar Shinde and Kamal Nath have been deployed in Bhopal to ensure a victory for Vivek Tankha. Since AICC in-charge of Haryana Shakeel Ahmad is on leave, party general secretary B K Hariprasad has been deputed there. Digvijaya Singh and A Chella Kumar are rushing to Bengaluru, while Mukul Wasnik has been asked to go to Uttarakhand.
