Kolkata (08.04.2026): In a changed strategy, the Congress is not only contesting alone but also on as many as 294 seats in the West Bengal Assembly elections. The seriousness of the Congress in the election can be gauged from the fact that it changed 7 names out of 8 that it announced last. The Congress is trying to capitalize on the anger of Muslim voters against the Trinamool Congress. A section of the community of late started feeling that if any party can take up their issue at the national level and get that implemented, it is the Congress.
