New Delhi (20.09.2025): The public-sector head-hunter (PESB) on Saturday recommended the name of B Sairam for the post of Chairman & Managing Director, Coal India Limited (CIL), a Schedule “A” CPSE under the Ministry of Coal, Government of India.Altogether 11 candidates appeared before the selection board (PESB) for the interview. Subject to requisite clearances and ACC approval, Sairam will be appointed as CMD, CIL replacing P M Prasad who will be superannuating on 31.10.2025. Currently, he is serving as Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Northern Coalfields Limited.
