New Delhi (03.06.2021): Amid heightening curiosity, all eyes are set on the PESB interviewing on June 04, 2021, as many as 10 officers including four civil servants for the most-coveted post of ONGC CMD. 

Reportedly, the list of shortlisted candidates is as follows: 

1. Ms. Pomila Jaspal (Director- Finance, MRPL)
2. Om Prakash Singh (Director- Technical), ONGC)
3. S Gupta (Executive Director) ONGC
4. Pankaj Kumar (Executive Director, ONGC)
5. Anand Gupta (ADG, DG Hydrocarbons)
6. O N Gyani (Executive Director, ONGC)
7. Neeraj Verma (IAS:1994); and 
8. APD Joshi (IAS:1994)
9. Manoj Dubey (IRAS), Director- Finance (CONCOR)
10. Ajay Agarwal (IA&AS), Director- Finance (SPMCIL)

Although civil servants may like to see one of theirs as the next ONGC CMD, they can't take things for granted as before. Further, it is widely speculated that an internal candidate may win the race for the CMD post.

Readers may recall that the ONGC CMD post has been vacant since Shashi Shanker retired on 31.03.2021. Presently, senior-most Director Subhash Kumar, Director (Finance), is holding the CMD post as an additional charge.
