Kamalnath Government, Monday late evening, appointed M Gopal Reddy (IAS:1985:MP) as the new Chief Secretary of the state vice Sudhi Ranjan Mohanty (IAS:1982:MP). Reddy was functioning as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) prior to his announcement as CS. Further, Kamalnath Govt appointed Mohanty as Director General of RCPV Academy of Administration; fifteen days ahead of his retirement (31.03.2020). When a couple of weeks back Reddy was announced as Officer on Special Duty (OSD), as likely successor of Mohanty, many civil servants, posted in Govt of India, termed it a Chindwada Bonanza. Reportedly, Nath and Reddy are considered close to each other when Reddy was Collector of Chindwada.
