Amaravati (11.06.2024): Even before swearing in of N Chandrababu Naidu as Andhra Pradesh CM, activities in Amaravati suggest that he is likely to get enough funds to develop his pet project as the state capital. All it started in 2015 by Naidu but the project was halted by the Jagan Mohan Reddy government in 2019. Now, when Telugu Desam Party (TDP) decided to support the Modi government, it appears that capital city will be developed with generous funding by the Centre. The city needs Rs 50,000 crore for the development. In a way AP gets special package if not for the state but for Amravati. When Telangana was carved out of Andhra Pradesh, the state from which new state was created also denied its capital Hyderabad.
