New Delhi (15.12.2023): The New Delhi establishment of empanelled over twenty five IRS officers for holding Chief Commissioner and Director General rank posts (Level 16 of the Pay Matrix) under Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) for the panel year 2023 and 2024

The order issued by the Department of Revenue (Ministry of Finance) underlined that DPC recommendations in respect of Ganesh Hanavur in ‘sealed cover’ has been kept in abeyance for the panel year 2024. It further emphasised that the promotion of the junior-most officer in the panel for the year 2024 would be on ‘ad-hoc’ basis till the ‘sealed cover’ case pending against Hanavur would be finalized, or a subsequent regular vacancy in the grade arises, whichever would be earlier.
