New Delhi (06.11.2024): When Assembly elections campaign is going on in full swing in Jharkhand, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raided 16 locations in Jharkhand, West Bengal and Bihar in connection with illegal stone mining scam in Jharkhand’s Nimbu Pahad. The investigation was started after Jharkhand High Court directive and the CBI registering a case on November 23, 2023.Pankaj Mishra supposedly a close confidant of Chief Minister Hemant Soren is under scanner in the case. The CBI has searched 11 locations in Sahibganj district, three in Ranchi and one each in Patna and Kolkata and seized Rs 50 lakh cash, one kilogram each of gold and silver and property documents worth crores of rupees.
