Cautious move: Is Gujarat elections delaying Sisodia’s arrest?

New Delhi (25.10.2022): Despite lots of corruption charges against AAP leader Manish Sisodia, he has not yet been arrested. Not only the BJP but AAP too knows it well that arrest will turn sympathy in favor of AAP and incite backlash against BJP. AAP, which is provoking BJP to arrest Sisodia, is gaining ground in the state. The BJP is fearful that it was checkmated by the same tactics in Delhi, so it doesn’t want to commit the same mistake in Gujarat. It must be kept in mind that losing Gujarat will be the biggest ever setback for Modi and Shah ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. So the party is treading very cautiously but any decision on his arrest is only after the Gujarat polls.(By Rakesh Ranjan)
