New Delhi (13.04.2026): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Monday effected a major reshuffle of Joint Secretary/Joint Secretary equivalent officers (Level 14 of the Pay Matrix) from various services, batches and Cadre. The names and the new postings of these officers are as follows:
- Kapil Meena (IAS: 2010: SK) has been appointed as MD, National Horticulture Board (NHB), Department of Agriculture & FW for a combined tenure of five years i.e. up to 17/01/2027 vice B Srinivas (IAS: 1991: KL) by cancelling the appointment of Satyendra Singh (IFoS: 1996: AM).
- G Venkatesh (ICoAS: 1997) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals for a tenure of five years vice Deepak Mishra (IFoS:1996: KL)
- Priyanka Das (IAS: 2009: MP) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation for a combined tenure of five years i.e. up to 05/03/2030 vice Shobhit Gupta (IRSEE: 2000)
- Jawahar Packirisamy (IAS: 2007: UT) has been appointed as Chairman (JS level), Marine Products Exports Development Authority (MPEDA), Department of Commerce for a tenure of five years vice Dodda Venkata Swamy (IAS: 2001: OD)

- Sakshi Mittal (IAS: 2010: UT) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs for a combined tenure of five years i.e. up to 19/05/2029 vice Rajeev Saksena
- Laya Madduri (IAS: 2010: AM) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs for a combined tenure of five years i.e. up to 03/04/2030 by temporarily upgrading the post held by the officer from DS/Dir level to JS level in the Department for an initial period of two years

- Girish Chandrashekhar Hosur (IFoS: 1996: HP) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities beyond 27/04/2026 for a tenure up to the date of superannuation on 31/10/2027.
- Chaudhari Uday Gaurishankar (IAS: 2010: MH) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, for a combined tenure of five years i.e. up to 23/06/2026 by temporarily downgrading a vacant post of AS in the Ministry to JS level
