New Delhi (14.10.2022): If some well-placed sources are to be believed Prasar Bharati may get its regular CEO soon; a coveted post that is still running under an ad hoc arrangement. The selection committee meeting was held this week.  

Reportedly, five names were in the consideration zone of which an IAS officer, currently posted in the Cadre as Principal Adviser and scheduled to retire next year, is said to have emerged as the New Delhi establishment’s choice. If things fall in place as conceived Prasar Bharati Board will exhibit uniqueness in its composition.

Presently, Mayank Kumar Agrawal (IIS:1989) is holding the additional charge of CEO, Prasar Bharati since June 09, 2022 vice  Shashi Shekhar Vempati.
