New Delhi (12.02.2025): Post AAP debacle and BJP’s win with thumping majority, civil servants appear quite relaxed. After having a double engine government at Centre and Delhi, they would have clarity in means and objective both. Ever since APP came into power in Delhi in 2014 with BJP in a big brother role at the Centre, civil servants often found themselves in a quagmire and increasingly in an awkward situation. 

MHA being the Cadre controlling authority of AGMUT Cadre All India Service officers as well as DANICS and DANIPS officers, they will have a unified command framework to work. Not to mention that the Delhi Government, in all likelihood, will function as a shadow government of the Centre but at least bureaucrats having received a new Pay Commission and Income Tax relief will take the new arrangement as a sigh of relief.
