ACC to clear six EDs for AIIMS, six more posts to be advertised soon

963If some well-placed sources are to be believed, the NaMo administration may announce appointment of six Executive Directors each as the head of AIIMS at various places. Reportedly, six names of retired doctors from country’s premier medical institutes (AIIMS, PGIs etc) are already awaiting ACC ratification and six more posts may be advertised soon. These EDs would be equivalent to the Director; the head of AIIMS. The Govt has reportedly, devised a way out against the AIIMS Act which restricts the government from appointing a person as Director aged 65 years or more. The new arrangement would help nurturing the premier institution as institution of excellence like AIIMS.
