It is expected that the Central Industrial Security Force may get two additional posts of ADG and nine Posts of IG following the completion of the current exercise of cadre restructuring and subsequent ACC approval. This may take the tally of ADG posts 04 posts and of IG posts to 18 in the force. Initially, 12 additional posts of IG were proposed but reportedly only 09 additional posts are expected to be cleared.
Reportedly, 25 per cent of the increased posts will be earmarked for CISF cadre. It may be mentioned that up to the DIG rank it does not require ACC approval and MHA itself takes decision on the creation of posts but for IG and above, it requires the ACC ratification.
