'Indianmandarins' has reliably learnt that as many as five Principal Commissioners (C&CE) are expected to be given the full-charge of Directorates (CBEC) by the end of this week or so. These five posts had fallen vacant after the respective heads were appointed as Member, CBEC and are being run under the additional charge of the respective Members of CBEC. Accordingly; Najib Shah (Member, Budget) is holding the additional charge of DGRI and DGCEI, whereas Ms Neerja Shah (Member, HR) is holding the additional charge of DG HR. Similarly; the additional charge of DG Export Promotion is with Ram Tirath (Member, L&J), Ms Vanaja N Sarna (Member, P&V) is holding the additional charge of DG Vigilance. Reportedly, officers promoted recently in the rank of Principal Commissioners will be given the full-charge of these five Directorates (DGRI, DGCEI, DGHR, DGEP, DG Vigilance) by the end of this week or so.
