Show cause notice to Rishi Raj Singh for not saluting the minister

The Home Department of Kerala Government has issued a show cause notice to senior IPS officer Rishi Raj Singh (IPS:1985:KL) after he failed to salute the Home Minister (Ramesh Chennithala) at a function held the police academy in Thrissur on July 11.
When Chennithala had reached the venue (passing out parade) ADGP Rishi Raj Singh missed out to salute the minister. Chennithala on July 12 though did not take it as complaint against the officer and had left it to the DGP to look into the issue.
Rishi Raj Singh (formerly Jt Dir, CBI) had clarified that like minister he too was invited as guest and was not on official duty at the venue.
