Lucknow (16.09.2023): In view of 2024 Lok Sabha elections administrative framework is being prepared which signifies many things. The Yogi Administration has constituted two committees headed by ADG Law & Order Prashant Kumar (IPS: 1990: UP) and ADG Vigilance Rajiv Krishna (IPS: 1991: UP) to transfer such police officers in the rank of ASP/DSP and Inspector/Sub-Inspector who are posted at the same place for over 3 years or facing any complaints.
Such exercise is generally taken by the government just before elections. This happens till the time Election Commission of India takes control of everything. The First screening constituted for ASP/DSP level officers included Special DG, Law and Order as its Chairman, Additional DG, Establishment and Secretary, Home (Dr Sanjeev Gupta) as members. The other committee constituted for the screening of Inspector/Sub-Inspector level officers included Additional DG, Vigilance as chairman, Additional DG, Establishment and Secretary Home (A B Rajamauli) as members.
