New Delhi (11.09.2024): The New Delhi establishment has appointed Santosh Sinha as the new Managing Director of Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) up to his superannuation i.e. 30.09.2027. Currently, he is Executive Director (Projects and Services), Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR). The post was running under an ad hoc arrangement since Arun Kumar Shrivastava survived the fatal accident (ceiling collapse) in February 2022 and since then CWC was running headless.
The additional charge of MD was with Amit Kumar Singh (IRTS: 1987), Director (Marketing & Corporate Planning), CWC.
It may be underlined that the Search-Cum-Selection-Committee (SCSC) had selected Sinha for the post of MD on May 4, 2024.
This is to recall that the PESB selection board on November 14, 2022 had found none of the candidates suitable after the selection interview and the administrative department, Department of Food & Public Distribution adopted Search-cum-Selection route to find Shrivastava’s successor.
