Five months have passed and the successor of Johri is yet to be announced. Indianmandarins has learnt that ACC has cleared the name of a 1987 batch IRS C&CE officer but DOPT is yet to release the appointment orders.
The job is a captive post of Ministry of Commerce and is filled through CSB procedure. The process of filling the post was initiated on July 20 and was circulated to Chief Commissioners/DGs of CBEC on September 30.
